Galíni Ceramic Collection

mid fire clays, ceramic stains, glaze

Galíni is the Greek word for serenity and calmness, often used to describe the stillness of the sea or a peaceful state of mind. This idea lies at the heart of the collection.

The work draws from the colours and spirit of Greece, from soft aquas and coastal turquoises to deep sea blues and the soft whites of sunlit buildings. The vessel forms reference ancient Greek pottery, simple geometric patterns and the clean, balanced lines of mid-century design.

Each piece is made with a focus on harmony and simplicity. The gentle colours and considered forms are intended to bring a sense of ease and connection, blending historical influences with a contemporary approach.

My aim is that these pieces offer moments of calm, peace and serenity to those who view them.

This collection was presented as my final body of work for my Diploma of Ceramics in 2025.
