Coastal Ceramic Collection

Mid fire clays, ceramic stains, glaze

The Coastal Ceramic Collection is inspired by the colours, light and rhythms of Australia's coastline. Soft aquas, ocean blues, coastal greens, warm sands and the pinks and golds of dawn are translated into contemporary handbuilt ceramic vessels through layered coloured slips, textured clay bodies and geometric surface decoration.

Influenced by modernist design, ancient Mediterranean ceramics and coastal landscapes, each piece explores the relationship between colour, form and pattern. Handmade in Sydney, the collection celebrates craftsmanship, thoughtful making and the quiet beauty of the handmade.

This collection was created in 2026 for the Thrown from the Beaches exhibition, a group exhibition by The Clay Assembly.
